The Challenge

Located in downtown Bethlehem, adjacent to the historic district, a residential building had been upgraded to an eye care office. Alloy5 was tasked with renovating the exterior and interior of the historic building into a new pediatric dental office. The space had already been abandoned and partially demolished with outdated finishes and layout. The older structure posed challenges in the foundation and creating a lively and clean space for children and parents to receive dental care.

Our Approach

In collaboration with the client, the goal was to help create a positive experience for young children going to the dentist. Starting with making the building and layout ADA-compliant for all patrons, the exterior required new windows, façade repairs, painting, roof, and doors. The interior space required durable and hygienic finishes.

Design Solution

The exterior connects to the surrounding historical downtown color scheme with traditional details and pops of landscaping in the front. On the inside, a vibrant blue on the walls greets guests throughout the facility. Creating an enjoyable and vibrant space with wood-look LVT on the floors allows for easy clean-up and minimal seams for dirt and germs as kids maneuver throughout the dental office.
