The Challenge

Since 1988, Lehigh University’s Murray H. Goodman Stadium has played host to The Rivalry, college football’s most-played series that pits the hometown Mountain Hawks against neighboring Lafayette College. No doubt Goodman Stadium is an iconic football venue and the hallmark of the Goodman Campus where Lehigh athletes practice and play baseball, cross country, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and track and field. However, at 30 years old, Goodman Stadium needed modern upgrades to improve comfort and the spectator experience.

Our Approach

Alloy5 kicked off the renovation with a redesign of the two-story home grandstand to provide new bathrooms, a large indoor viewing area and seven private suites. The visitor stands were converted into a game operations and media center with private spaces for home and visiting coaches, radio and TV announcers.

Design Solution

Refined and durable. Creating a space where the public press and spectators can enjoy cheering on the Lehigh Mountain Hawks while allowing maximum visual access to the field. Sophisticated finishes with low maintenance paired with Lehigh colors complete the press box and surrounding areas with pride for the Mountain Hawks.
