Restaurateur Robyn Cavallaro likens coffee roasting to winemaking. Start with a simple ingredient, add water, adjust heat, speed and rotation and create a flavor masterpiece. With a successful 100-seat restaurant and busy catering business already established, Cavallaro sought to expand her empire with a new coffee house.
Located inside the new Gateway at Greenway Park, a six-story building at a busy intersection in Bethlehem, Sagra Beans will serve a full slate of coffee drinks as well as pastries, sandwiches and salads to office workers, college students and neighbors. Coffee beans will be roasted on site using Cavallaro’s custom recipes.
Alloy5 designed a space which showcases the coffee roaster as a centerpiece to cafe with ample counter space and a comfortable seating area. A full interior fitout gave the cafe a sophisticated yet accessible appeal. The team also worked with Cavallaro to create a custom logo which helps Sagra Beans stand out in the crowded coffee marketplace.
