To accommodate expanding enrollment, Red Door purchased a former office building and hired Alloy5 to design a unique learning environment in tune with the school’s educational approach. The 11,000-square-foot, block and steel frame building provided a stable foundation for design creativity and program adaptability.

A new paint scheme, featuring the school’s trademark bright red door, transformed the exterior. Inside, Alloy5 designed a layout around a large central community play room that serves multiple purposes throughout the day. Other shared facilities include a media library, science center and art studio. Individual classrooms are accented by large windows that flood the spaces with light. Perimeter hallway windows provide more light and an added sense of safety.
