When we discovered a dusty model of Martin Tower in our basement, we couldn’t help but talk about the building’s potential. What was it like to design this? How would we design it today. Then creativity took over. A new logo and branding. A 1:1 digital model. An office interior fit-out. A virtual tour. Inspired by the palette and textures of the 1970s but with a millennial understanding of modern office environments, our approach to Martin Tower combines revitalization with flexibility and collaboration. We’re not certain of the future of Martin Tower, but we recognize the possibility it presents today.
Alloy5’s plan for Paxinosa’s renovation began with a question: what does a modern school need? Our solutions were found within Easton Area’s ed specs, which paint an accurate picture of today’s classroom. The school building, first and foremost, must be a safe, welcoming environment that is stimulating to creativity and fosters a sense of community. Alloy5 design approach will be to enhance the existing features of the school, modernize the building and bring the facility into the 21st century. Major areas we are addressing are security enhancement, improved daylighting, and the activation of circulation areas.
From 2012-2016, Alloy5 assisted the city of Easton for with finding a sufficient location, within the city, for the home of the new Easton Police Station Headquarters. The project consisted of evaluating the potential of several existing buildings in comparison with the option of new construction on an empty parcel. Alloy5 remains engaged in the process, as the city’s resident architect, reviewing designs and proposals provided by private developers.
